The Norfolk Lions invite residents, businesses and organizations to get into the holiday spirit by participating in the annual Holiday on the Hill Christmas tree decorating contest on Sunday, Nov. 29.

For a $40 entry fee, participants will receive a Christmas tree and access to electricity along Main Street. Entrants are encouraged to choose a theme and decorate their trees with creativity and holiday flair. Businesses may also incorporate advertising into their displays.

The Lions will set up the trees, which will be available for decorating beginning the week of Nov. 23. The decorated trees will be unveiled following the Santa Parade on Nov. 29, when the parade concludes on Town Hill.

Parade attendees can vote for their favorite tree that day, with additional voting available at the Norfolk Public Library during the following week. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

The decorated trees may remain on display through Christmas for the entire community to enjoy. Participants are asked to secure all decorations to ensure they withstand the weather throughout the contest.

The contest is open to everyone. For more information or to register, visit norfolkmalions.org.
