The SAFE Coalition will hold a free medication take-back event Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, with drive-thru disposal locations in Franklin, Norfolk, Medway, Millis and Wrentham.

Residents may dispose of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications, including opioids, as well as vapes and cartridges. Disposal is free and anonymous, and participants can remain in their vehicles.

Drop-off locations will be at Franklin Town Hall, Medway Town Hall, Millis Fire Department, Norfolk Police Department and Wrentham Town Hall.

The event provides an opportunity to safely dispose of unused medications rather than keeping them in the home or flushing them, which can pose safety and environmental concerns.
