Wrentham twin sisters Fiona and Frances Nix, 13, earned honors this season in the World Ninja League, with Fiona placing third at the World Championships and Frances earning All Balance Team recognition.

The sisters competed in the Preteen Female Division at the World Ninja League Season XI World Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event included qualified athletes from around the world, including Australia, Israel, France and Germany.

Fiona finished third in the Tier 1 Preteen Female Division, earning a spot on the World Championship podium in a field of 152 qualified athletes.

Frances was selected to the World Ninja League's All Balance Team, which recognizes performance on balance and foot-dexterity obstacles.

Unlike an award based solely on performance at the World Championships, All Balance Team recognition is based on an athlete's performance throughout the World Ninja League season, across regions and competitions.

Fiona and Frances have competed in the World Ninja League since 2022 and currently train at Ascend Obstacle Training in Marlborough.

Competitive ninja challenges athletes in a range of skills, including upper-body and grip strength, speed, endurance, agility, balance, precision and technical problem-solving. Athletes must assess unfamiliar obstacles and complete them under time and competitive pressure.

This fall, both sisters will move up to the World Ninja League's Teen Division and begin their next season of competition.
