The Rev. Chris Scheller is the new minister at the First Universalist Society in Franklin. He will preach his first service on Sept. 13.

The First Universalist Society in Franklin (FUSF) will welcome its new minister, the Rev. Chris Scheller, to the pulpit for his first service on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m.

A reception will follow the Sept. 13 service.

The church will also offer a seven-session course in American Mah Jongg this fall. FUSF member and Mah Jongg instructor Katie Nunes will lead the classes on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Oct. 5. The course is limited to 16 participants and costs $115, which includes a 2026 National Mah Jongg League card.
