The First Universalist Society in Franklin (FUSF) has announced August services as part of the Summer Sunday Worship Series on Choosing Hope. All services start at 10 a.m., followed by cookies and conversation.

August 2: The Power of Hope

Emily Steltzer, youth advisor at FUSF and high school history teacher, explores the power and complexity of hope through the life story of Sally Hemings and the Hemings family of Monticello.

August 9: Optimism Spotlight!

Are you ready to smile and kick negativity to the curb? FUSF member, and longtime educator, Deb Prudhomme, shares an uplifting and refreshing view of the positivity thriving in our world.

August 16: Which Did She Choose First: The Community or the Faith?

Join lay leader and long-time member Vicki Coates as she re-examines her path to the FUSF community, how she came to choose the UU faith as her spiritual home, and discover which came first for her.

August 23: Cannabis for the Soul

New FUSF member Marlo Pohl will look at why cannabis has been regarded as a sacred plant, giving many of its users hope to discover an expanded pathway to enlightenment.

August 30: Hope--The High-Octane Fuel That Makes the Difference

Peter Dennis, a member of the FUSF Worship Committee, will share his perspective on the power of hope to drive change.
