Rooted in Wrentham: New exhibit celebrates local artists and inspiration
A new exhibit at the Old Fiske Museum will explore the connection between Wrentham and the artists inspired by the town’s landscape, history and daily life.
“Rooted in Wrentham: Celebrating Local Talent and Place” will feature work by artists who live in Wrentham as well as those drawn to capture the town’s character through their art. The exhibit includes works in paint, photography, sculpture and mixed media.
According to organizers, the exhibit reflects the influence of Wrentham’s farmland, historic town common, neighborhoods and seasonal rhythms, highlighting the relationship between community, place and creative expression.
The exhibit opens at the Old Fiske Museum, 55 East St., on Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 4 p.m., and will remain open Sunday afternoons through Nov. 15. An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, May 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Admission is free, and all are welcome.
