Children’s Programs

Highlights this month include:

Rocket Launch with the EcoTarium (May 16, 2 and 3 p.m.): Kids ages 7+ can design and launch model rockets while learning about the laws of motion. Registration required. 

Read to Sophie the Library Dog (May 9, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.): Children ages 5–10 can sign up for a 15-minute reading session with a certified therapy dog. 

Sewing Class for Kids (May 9, 16, 23): A three-week series for ages 10+ introducing basic sewing skills. Registration required. 

Reading Dragons Club (May 27, 5:30–6:30 p.m.): Participants can play, trade cards, and take part in themed activities. 

Ongoing offerings include weekly storytimes, playgroups, and drop-in craft programs.

Adult Programs

Pamela Means Performance (May 6, 7 p.m.): The Easthampton-based singer-songwriter will perform original music. 

The Signature Patriot: John Hancock (May 13, 6:30 p.m.): A historical presentation portraying Hancock’s role in the American Revolution. Registration required. 

Free IT Help Office Hours (Tuesdays): Now by appointment, with limited walk-in availability. 

Additional offerings include monthly spice kits (May feature: paprika), take-and-make crafts, and the Fiske Book Club (May 26, discussing Happiness Falls by Angie Kim).
