The First Universalist Society in Franklin will host a special service titled “Moving From Grief to Justice” on Sunday, April 26, at 10 a.m. at its meetinghouse at 262 Chestnut Street in Franklin. 

The service will feature Rev. Jo Murphy, Executive Director of UU Mass Action, who will explore how individuals and communities can move beyond fear and despair in difficult times. Rev. Murphy will discuss the importance of allowing space for grief and how that process can lead to justice-centered action, while sustaining hope, joy, and wonder. 

Rev. Murphy leads organizing and mobilization efforts through UU Mass Action campaigns. In addition to her advocacy work, she serves as a chaplain at Beth Israel and is the parent of a young daughter, Simone.
