Wrentham to Host 2026 Bay State Games Rugby Tournament

The Town of Wrentham has been selected to host the 2026 Bay State Games rugby tournament, which will take place in July at the William A. Rice Recreation Complex.

The competition will feature the fast-paced Rugby 7s format and include teams from the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization and invited clubs from neighboring states. Teams will compete across multiple divisions, with each guaranteed at least three matches and medals awarded to top finishers.

“We’re honored that Wrentham has been chosen to host,” said Stephen Signes, president of Barbarians Youth Rugby. “This competition is a highlight of the season for our athletes, and we look forward to welcoming teams from across the region.”

Additional details, including the tournament schedule, will be announced by organizers in the coming months.
