Charles River Chorale to Present Spring Concert “It’s About Time” in Medway
The Charles River Chorale will present its spring concert, “It’s About Time: A Journey Through Memory and Moment,” on Saturday, May 2 at 5 p.m. at the Medway High School auditorium.
The program opens with “Les Chansons des Roses,” a five-movement choral cycle by acclaimed composer Morten Lauridsen set to poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke. Lauridsen is the most frequently performed American choral composer in modern history.
The second half of the concert shifts styles as a rock band joins the chorale for a lively set of songs exploring the theme of time, including favorites such as “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Time After Time.”
Under the direction of Ashley Nelson-Oneschuk, the 100-voice Charles River Chorale will present a program designed to stir memories, lift spirits, and remind audiences that music is truly timeless.
