The Fiske Public Library will be closing at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24 for Christmas Eve, and closed Thursday, December 25 for Christmas Day. The library will be closing at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, and closed Thursday, January 1 for New Year’s Day. 

The library’s regular hours are Monday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Monday Crafternoons

Mondays, December 8 and 22, from 3 to 4 p.m.

Kids ages 5-12 are invited to come over to the library after school to do a craft in the children’s program room. 

Read to Sophie the Library Dog

Thursday, December 11 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. 

Kids age 5-10 are invited to read to Sophie, a therapy dog from Dog B.O.N.E.S. of MA. Register for a fifteen-minute time slot on the Calendar page at fiskelib.org.

Grinch Storytime

Saturday, December 20 from 1 to 2 p.m.

He’s a mean one...and he’s coming to the library! Join us for a story time featuring “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Make some Grinch themed crafts and get your picture taken with the Grinch himself.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Fiske Library and funded through a grant from Eversource. Registration begins 12/6 at fiskelib.org.

Noon Year’s Eve Party

Wednesday, December 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Staying awake until midnight can be hard. Kids age 3+ are invited to join us to ring in 2025 early with fun stories, games, crafts and a countdown to NOON! Registration begins 12/17 at fiskelib.org.

Free Drop-in IT Help Office Hours

Tuesdays, 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The Fiske Public Library is hosting Free IT Help Office Hours with IT expert Ben Elliot who is available to help with personal technology related issues in an informal setting.

Due to the popularity of this free service and increase in wait times for patrons, Ben is switching to appointments rather than first-come first-served help. Visit https://befreeit.org

Gingerbread House Decorating
