Stewards of Children is an evidence-informed, award-winning training that teaches adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. This training is offered to parents/guardians in the tri-town districts of Norfolk, Plainville, Wrentham and King Philip Regional.
“As April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, this is a timely training to support families,” said Director of Wellness Dot Pearl.
The program will be presented by trained facilitators from the Hockomock YMCA who are authorized by Darkness to Light.
Through interviews with a very diverse group of people with lived experience, experts, and treatment providers, Stewards of Children teaches adults practical actions they can take to reduce instances of child sexual abuse in their organizations, families, and communities.
