In early February, Wrentham Cub Scout Pack 131 held its annual Blue and Gold banquet. George Labonte, Sr. was the featured speaker, and he spoke about his experiences as a Scout and honored the legacy of his late son, George Labonte, an Eagle Scout from Pack 131 who dedicated himself to serving his community from a young age. 

In his memory, Pack 131 has established the George Labonte Scholarship to enable young Scouts to experience the adventures that Scouting offers. Also speaking was David Paulson, an Eagle Scout from Troop 40 in Taunton, who was recently honored by the Boy Scouts of America’s Narragansett Council with the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award.
