In 1993, Norfolk resident Amy Lehan graduated from King Philip High School. Her father, Jim Lehan, the Norfolk representative to the KP Regional School Committee, as well as a member of the Norfolk School Committee, presented his daughter with her diploma. Martin Gavin, a Sun Chronicle photographer, captured the moment.

 

Fast forward twenty-nine years to 2022. Amy’s daughter, Sarah Lehan-Allen, was now the one graduating from King Philip High School. Sarah’s grandfather, Jim Lehan, is once again serving on the King Philip School Committee so he was able to present his granddaughter with her diploma. 

As Lisa Mobley, principle of KPHS said in her opening speech, they were making history.
